Adolf von Menzel

Adolf von Menzel (1815-1905) was a German painter and illustrator. He is considered one of the most important artists of the late 19th century. Menzel's work falls under the genres of Realism and Impressionism. He is known for his detailed, everyday scenes of life in Berlin and Prussia during the 19th century.
