Alexandre Cabanel

Alexandre Cabanel (1815-1893) was a French realist and academician painter. He was a student of François-Édouard Picot and later became a professor at the École des Beaux-Arts. Cabanel's works often depicted historical and mythological scenes, as well as portraits and nudes.
