Alfred Mahlau

Alfred Mahlau (1859-1915) was a German painter who blended Symbolism and Impressionism. Born in Dresden, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts. His dreamlike, often melancholic works feature atmospheric landscapes, cityscapes, and figures, often with an emphasis on light and color.
