Anselm Feuerbach

Anselm Feuerbach (1829-1880) was a German painter and artist who exemplified the Romantic and Symbolist movements. He is considered one of the most important painters in German art history. Feuerbach's work often featured mythological and biblical themes, characterized by dreamy, atmospheric settings and idealized female figures. His style was influenced by the Nazarene movement and the works of J.M.W. Turner.
