Anton Mauve

Anton Mauve (1827-1888) was a Dutch painter and artist. He is considered one of the most important figures in the development of the Hague School, a genre of Realism that emerged in the Netherlands during the late 19th century. Mauve's work blended elements of Realism and Impressionism, often depicting everyday life and landscapes with a focus on light and color. His paintings typically featured peasants, workers, and animals in quiet, serene settings.
