Arthur Dove

Arthur Dove (1886-1946) was an American artist and pioneer of modernism. He is considered one of the first abstract expressionists. Dove's work often featured biomorphic forms, geometric shapes, and expressive brushstrokes. His artistic style blended elements of Cubism, Futurism, and Surrealism. Characterized by simplicity, clarity, and emotional intensity, his paintings explored themes of nature, spirituality, and human experience.
