Henri Rousseau
Henri Rousseau (1844-1910) was a French painter known for his naïve and primitivist style. A postcard vendor turned artist, he created dreamlike, fantastical scenes of jungle landscapes and exotic people. His works often featured dense foliage, vibrant colors, and subtle symbolism. Despite being self-taught, Rousseau's art gained popularity among the avant-garde, including Pablo Picasso and Henri Matisse.
